This easy DIY light-up trick-or-treat bag is not only adorable but will also keep your little ones safe and visible in the dark as they collect their candy. It is no-sew! With a few simple materials, you can make this glowing bag in time for Halloween!

I sewed up this simple tote bag because I had some cute pink fabric on hand, but this project is perfect for store-bought tote bags. You can take a plain tote bag and turn it into a fun light-up bag for Halloween!
Materials Needed:
- Plain fabric tote bag
- Battery-operated LED string lights (thin wire fairy lights)
- Fiber Fill/Poly-fill
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Felt fabric
- Clear Plastic plate (7 inches)
- Stick-on mirror tiles

Step-by-Step Instructions
- Cut Out Felt Shapes
Using the free pattern (click link below to download), cut out the crystal ball base and inside pocket out of felt.
2. Attach the Felt to the Tote Bag
Turn your tote bag inside out. Apply hot glue along sides and bottom edge of the pocket piece and stick to inside of the tote bag.
3. Attach Crystal Ball Base to Bag
Using hot glue, glue the base onto the front of your bag, just under the bottom edge of the pocket.
4.. Add the LED String Lights
Cut a very small hole, just big enough for the string lights to fit through, near the bottom of the pocket you glued on. Thread the string lights through the hole and insert battery pack into pocket.
5. Create Crystal ball
Using a paint brush, spread white glue all over top of plastic plate. Sprinkle with glitter and then press Fiber Fill onto plate.
6. Attach Crystal ball to Bag
Using hot glue around the edges, glue the crystal Ball onto your bag. Make sure the lights are all tucked inside.
7. Add Finishing Touch with Mirror Tiles
This is optional, but really adds the perfect finishing touch to your crystal ball. Stick on mirror tiles around the edge of the crystal ball.
