We have an old air conditioner in our sun room that works great but isn’t very pretty to look at. I made this macrame cover for it. It hides the a/c unit and matches the boho style of the room.

First I built a simple box that slides over the air conditioner. I then stapled a piece of cotton rope to the top of the cover and made a macrame screen with rows of square knots.
I couldn’t find any macrame cord locally so I used cotton clothesline I found at the hardware store.

I am so happy with the way it turned out! It was such an easy project. Love how it covers up the air conditioner while still allowing the air to circulate.
