We have an old air conditioner in our sun room that works great but isn’t very pretty to look at. I made this macrame cover for it. It hides the a/c unit and matches the boho style of the room.
First I built a simple box that slides over the air conditioner. I then stapled a piece of cotton rope to the top of the cover and made a macrame screen with rows of square knots.
I used cotton clothesline rope that I had on hand, but macrame cord works too. Just make sure you use thicker rope or cord. It should be around 4mm. This helps cover as much of the air conditioner as possible! Both cotton clothesline and macrame cord are available on Amazon.
